‘In Dialogue’ Platform
We started cooperation with the University of Warsaw and specifically with the Deliberation Center at the Institute of Sociology at the University of Warsaw aimed at developing the platform of the ‘In Dialogue’ project.
The Deliberation Center at the Institute of Sociology of the University of Warsaw is a unit focused on practical problems of communication in democracy and on the issues of democratic communication. Deliberation Center is also a leader of the consortium which also includes:
- Institute of Informatics of the University of Warsaw,
- Association of Polish Cities,
- Polish Forum of Disabled People,
- MIT Promotion Studio,
- ‘Cities on the Internet’ Association.
As part of the consortium, the ‘In Dialogue’ platform was created, which serves to communicate and conduct social dialogue.
Work on the project has been divided into several stages.
At the beginning, the most urgent are the amendments related to ensuring the correct processing of personal data as well as compliance with the WCAG 2.0 standard. Next, we will take into account the comments and suggestions raised by platform users collected during pilot system implementations.
The “In Dialogue” platform uses the following tools, programming languages and technologies:
- AngularJS, jQuery, Spring 4, Hibernate, PostgreSQL,
- Bootstrap, npm, grunt, bower, liquibase, mavcen.
The system was created and is made available under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License.
